The Grantsburg Senior Center will hold a pie auction as a fundraiser for the Grantsburg Dollars for Scholars. Here’s how it will work:
Donate:
- They are seeking donated homemade pies for the auction as well as pans of homemade bars which will be cut and sold by the piece.
- Pies and bars need to be at the Grantsburg Fairgrounds by 10:00 am on Saturday, September 21. They can also be dropped off on Friday between 3 and 6pm.If you cannot make that happen, contact Nicki at 715-463-5988 or contact@grantoberfest.com and we’ll arrange for a different drop-off time. Please indicate if they need to be refrigerated.
- Do not cut your pies or bars. Please bring them in disposable pans.
$50 CASH PRIZE for the baker of the pie that sells for the highest dollar amount!
Purchase:
There will be a LIVE AUCTION at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 21 at the Grantsburg Fairgrounds.- There will be a SILENT AUCTION for the remaining pies from 11:30am – 1:00pm.
- There will be whipped cream pies to bid on. If you purchase one of these, you get to throw it in the face of a “Grantsburg Celebrity”
- All proceeds will go to the Grantsburg Dollars for Scholars, a non-profit organization that raises money to give as scholarships to each and every Grantsburg graduate who pursues higher education. In 2013, each student received $1,000!!! Help this great cause by bidding on a homemade pie!
- Homemade bars will be sold by the piece throughout the day – not as part of the auction.
- If you purchase a pie that needs refrigerated, we will put your name and phone number on it and put away until you are ready to leave the event. Payment must be made at the close of the auction.
